Since 1872 becomes the property of the Savoy, which enlarge the square footage, then move on to the Count Tellfner that heads it to his wife Ada.
In 1904 he was re-acquired by the Savoy family who make it their royal residence and hunting reserve.
It was here that Mussolini was arrested on July 25, 1943.
With the end of the monarchy, most of the villa is alienated and became public domain.
The public area, rich in wildlife, is characterized by the artificial lake and endless trails for those who want to practice outdoor sports.
